(AP) — CHICAGO – Chicago Cubs Charities has announced a $50,000 grant to the AIDS Foundation of Chicago.

The grant was given in connection with this month’s concerts at Wrigley Field.

Cubs Charities Vice President Mike Lufrano says neighborhood support for the concerts and concertgoers made the gift possible. The Wrigley Field concerts have featured Elton John, Billy Joel, Rascal Flatts and Vince Gill.

Cubs Charities plans to donate a total of $150,000 to organizations serving Chicago. The remaining grants will be announced later.
