Maine Basketball Managers To Be Honored In Boston

Celtics President Rich Gotham and F Brian Scalabrine will participate in a ceremony honoring the ’08-09 Heroes Among Us Award recipients at the Massachusetts State House. The team established the award in ’97. “Two of Maine’s best-known basketball managers will be honored Tuesday at the Massachusetts State House in Boston.It’s part of a busy week for Josh Titus, of Auburn, and Patrick Thibodeau, of Cumberland, who are attending the Celtics basketball camp.Titus has autism and attended Edward Little High School, and Thibodeau has Down Syndrome and attended Greely High School.The two high school seniors caught the nation’s attention earlier this year when they took the court to play in a game back in February. Both not only got a chance to play, they both also scored.”
