Nearly $10,000 Donated in Beach Bums’ Homestand, More to Come

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich.-A mid-summer six-game homestand for the Traverse City Beach Bums wrapped up on Monday night with the team winning its fifth-straight game. More importantly, the Beach Bums were able to donate nearly $10,000 to charity because of their fans’ tremendous involvement in four special theme nights.

The special theme nights included Wednesday’s Men’s Night, Thursday’s Ladies Night, Friday’s STAR WARS Night, and Saturday’s Breast Cancer Awareness Night. Not only were these events somewhat new ventures for the fourth-year organization, but each event included a heavy emphasis on giving back to the community and raising awareness of cricital health issues.
