Athletes giving back – Part 2 – Competition time!

There is a second phase to the debate being hosted by Athletes for Hope, a phase that involves a campaign/competition to raise funds for one’s favorite cause. Called Who Gives! Racing for a Cause, the concept is for participating athletes to race to see how many contributions of $10 or more they bring in for the organization of their choice during a certain period.

Who Gives? Racing for a Cause is a not-for-profit competition. Donations will be accepted through January 15, 2010. The athletes who raise the most money on behalf of his/her project in that time, and those who receive the greatest number of donations will win additional bounty awards of $10,000, $5,000, and $2,500, respectively (total of $30,000 in bounty awards). In addition, there will be periodic daily challenges with additional awards to be announced – stay tuned!”
