Giving your all in life and in death – Paco Rodriguez

E:60 is an incredible program on ESPN whose stories we have highlighted before. But the story of Paco Rodriguez may be the one that touched us the most. It is a story of triumph, of loss, of pain, of rebirth, and of one’s legacy embodied by family and strangers alike.

From ESPN.com: “Boxer Francisco “Paco” Rodriguez told his wife, Sonia, that he wanted to be a hero. But that dream seemed shattered after Rodriguez slipped into a coma and was declared brain dead after losing a title fight in Philadelphia. Through organ donation, his uncle and four women received a gift of life.”

We encourage you to take time to watch this tragic, yet uplifting story as it speaks to the fragility of one’s physical life and the power and durability of one’s spirit.
