Introduction
One of the great things about sports is “the comeback.” Whether it is an individual game, series, or season, we typically love seeing folks overcome obstacles, work hard and compete again, sometimes winning the title or championship at stake.

For a long time, most people would not associate Tiger Woods with the idea of a “comeback.” The most dominant athlete in his sport for a decade, Tiger won…a lot. He worked hard, for sure, but he often was seen to be out in front, having folks trail him far behind. However, in the past 10 years, Woods has had reason to question himself, struggle with his game and confidence, and ultimately fall from the perch of world’s greatest athletes. This past week, he had a landmark moment in his own comeback and we highlight that achievement.

The other pieces we are happy to feature include four more “comeback” stories: the new New York Islanders and their return to playoff hockey; Laura and Sarah Green, two sisters who survived the shooting at Columbine 20 years ago and ran the Boston Marathon together; Parkland shooting hero/survivor Anthony Borges and his visit to Barcelona; and prospective NFL player Gary Johnson. The remaining stories deal with: basketball superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo of the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks; baseball legend, and civil rights pioneer, Jackie Robinson; Taylor Sharp, director of ‘Hoops Africa: Ubuntu Matters’; how some off-field genius work led Yale to a national lacrosse title; and the philanthropy of boxing star Amir Khan.
