SUPPORTING AUTISM, Former New York Giant linebacker Carl Banks is hosting the Inaugural Carl Banks/Mariner’s Bank Golf Invitational on Tues., September 22 at Montammy Golf Club in Alpine, NJ.   The event will benefit the Bergen Community College Center for Autism.  Confirmed guests include Lawrence Taylor, John Starks, Gerry Cooney, Daryl Strawberry, Allen Houston and actor Anthony Anderson.  It’s a great opportunity to mingle and play golf with former/current athletes and entertainers, while supporting a great cause!  Those interested in playing in the event, participating in the Poker or Blackjack events (running concurrently with golf) or making a donation (cash or product) can contact Brian Berger at Bberger@tourgcx.com or 212-685-2141 x 225

October 13, 2009 – Annual Salute to Women in Sports
On Tuesday, October 13, Mary Carillo and Bob Costas will host one of the largest nights in Women’s Sports. For 30 years, the Women’s Sports Foundation has celebrated those athletes who’ve open doors for girls following in their footsteps. Join special honorees Annika Sorenstam, legendary golfer and philanthropist; Dick Ebersol, Chairman of NBC Universal Sports & Olympics; and Pat Summitt, head women’s basketball coach at the University of Tennessee and NCAA all-time winningest coach, for this spectacular evening.  (For more information, please visit www.WomenSportsFoundation.org/AnnualSalute)

Oct. 30, 2009 – Kerosene Lamp Foundation event at Orlando Magic v. New Jersey Nets game

Kerosene Lamp Foundation is offering a special NBA game experience, with discounted tickets and the opportunity to chat with NBA players!  Purchase your ticket to the New Jersey Nets season opening game against the Orlando Magic on Oct. 30th at 8pm through KLF and gain access to a post-game meet & greet with Orlando Magic Adonal Foyle and New Jersey Nets Courtney Lee. The players will be available to sign autographs, take photos, & chat with KLF attendees.  A limited number of tickets are available, so please purchase them now to guarantee your place.
