You likely won't be able to beat these guys

First off, who knew there was a Time Out Singapore!  🙂

This is a great story.  Christopher Minko from Australia has not only given a disadvantaged group an opportunity to play, he has given them an opportunity to compete. As we have seen with the Special Olympics and the Paralympic Games, participation is extremely important but let’s not forget that these individuals are athletes and deserve the opportunity to compete, to experience everything, the highs and lows, like everyone else. Minko’s efforts with the Cambodian National Volleyball League (Disabled) (CNVLD) is an example of that. And I love his boasts in the attached video: “Bring it on!” he says.

The people of Cambodia suffered like few others have during the brutal rule of the Khmer Rouge. The effects of that rule are still seen and felt throughout the country.  Congratulations to Christopher Minko, the players, and the fans for creating such a postive experience.
