Hamilton slows down and makes a stop at Homeless World Cup

Big news from the Homeless World Cup in Milan. Formula One Champion, Lewis Hamilton, one of the most popular athletes in the world, will be stopping by the event tomorrow to meet the players and supporting staff. Kudos to Lewis and the Vodafone Foundation, a major backer of the Homeless World Cup.

Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton will take a pit stop tour of the Milan 2009 Homeless World Cup during his trip to Italy for the Monza Grand Prix.  Lewis will attend the event as a guest of founder partners of the Homeless World Cup, the Vodafone Foundation.

Hamilton will kick off the days play on Thursday 10 September 2009 at 11am at the Arena Civica, Milan.

Lewis Hamilton, reigning Formula One World Champion and Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team driver, will meet and inspire players from 48 nations as they take the opportunity to stand proud, represent their country and change their lives forever.

The Milan 2009 Homeless World Cup takes place from 6-13 September 2009 uniting 48 nations from all 5 continents of the world. Italy, two times Homeless World Cup champions, will be aiming to regain their championship glory in front of their home crowd.
