Chicago Bulls College Prep opens on city's west side

September 14, 2009 – On Monday, the Chicago Bulls, along with Chairman Jerry Reinsdorf, General Manager Gar Forman and Tyrus Thomas, held a press conference to officially open the Chicago Bulls College Prep (CBCP), a Noble Street Charter School campus dedicated to providing world-class education for all Chicago students. The event took place at 11 a.m. on the school’s campus located at 2040 West Adams Street on the city’s west side.

In 2008, the Bulls donated $2 million to create the CBCP which delivers an educational model focused on four core values – scholarship, honor, discipline and fitness.

The high school campus, a part of the Chicago Public Schools district, will officially open its doors to approximately 229 Chicagoland ninth grade students in the inaugural class (128 males, 101 females).

Bob Love, Randy Brown, Benny the Bull, Noble leadership, community members, education and elected leaders were also be on hand for the unveiling.
