Down to the Sweet 60 – Street Soccer USA

Our friends at Street Soccer USA have moved onto the final round of Change.org’s “Ideas for Change in America” competition.* This is a great accomplishment. From January – February 2010, more than 2,500 ideas were submitted and voted on by 100,000 people across the country. The top three rated ideas from each of the 20 issue categories qualified for the final round of 60 ideas.

Final round voting began March 1 and ends on March 12. The 10 most popular ideas will be presented to relevant members of the Obama Administration, and Change.org will subsequently mobilize its full community to support a series of grassroots campaigns to help turn each idea into reality.

Street Soccer is currently in 50th Place and needs 1713 more votes to be one of the 10 winning ideas. Please visit the site to read more about Street Soccer and to see how you can help get this great program into the top 10. It would be great to have a sports-related effort featured.

*Ideas for Change in America is a crowd-sourcing competition that empowers citizens to identify and build momentum around a diverse range of ideas for addressing the challenges our country faces.
