We mention these types of events not just to make people aware so they can attend, but also as a reminder to those of us who can’t attend of what is being discussed. This way, we can hopefully feel, even if just remotely, the energy and commitment of these various stakeholders, companies, non-profits, students, academics, govt’s, to drive action in this important area. Those in the world of sports can certainly benefit from that.

Waterloo – Join us for a day of engaging speakers and stimulating discussion. P3: People, Planet, Profit is a one-day conference designed to educate and inspire businesses to develop or deepen their corporate social responsibility practices.

The event takes place on March 25th at the Tannery Event Centre 151 Charles Street West Kitchener,and starts with Registration & Breakfast at 8 am. The last keynote speaker finishes at 4:30 pm, followed by a networking reception until 6 pm. Register at this website.

This event will show attendees how effective CSR strategies can lead to increased profitability. We’ll talk about branding CSR and the increasing power of the consumer, employee engagement, where we are in the CSR “movement,” what the future looks like, and what the obstacles are to effective CSR programs.

Target Audience P3: People, Planet, Profit is designed for businesses in Waterloo Region and Southwestern Ontario, including companies from the area’s large technology sector. Larger non-profit organizations and a selection of students from Waterloo’s two universities will also be invited to the event, including graduate students from the Masters of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology program.
